Ensure the stone is completely dry and free from dust. To test, rub the stone with damp fingers; a squeaking sound on polished surfaces means it's clean enough. Unpolished smooth surfaces won’t produce a sound but should still be clean.

Rest the bottom of the vase on the base of the headstone before fitting it onto the side. This helps centre the vase and reduces strain on the clip when it's full of water and flowers.

Firmly press the vase onto the stone for about 10 seconds. Then, slide the vase off and use your thumbs to press the clip securely against the stone for another 10 seconds. Once the clip is secured, slide the vase back onto the clip to ensure it’s properly fitted.
